Prachanda fears foreign conspiracy to divide Nepal parties

Kathmandu, July 10 : CPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ''Prachanda'' has claimed that foreign power centres are weaving conspiracies to fulfill their strategic interests by dividing the political parties into various factions in Nepal.

Addressing a programme organized by South Asian Association Regional Corporation (SAARC) here on Wednesday, Prachanda stressed on the need to put a stop on such interference by the power centres.

“Foreign elements are not only attempting to divide the political parties into factions but also trying to obstruct the process,” Nepalnews quoted him as, saying.

He further claimed that the process of disunity among the political parties has already started.

Prachanda said that the people’s aspirations have been shattered after the Constituent Assembly (CA) election due to the activities of the political parties which has led to anger and dilemma among the people.

He stressed on the need for change in the mentality of the political leaders who should follow the people’s wishes.

Prachanda assured that the rights to education, health and employment included in the interim Constitution will be implemented by the to-be-formed new constitution. (ANI)
