London, Nov 8 : The breast pocket on men’s shirts may soon be a thing of the past because of tailors who feel that it ruins the lines of the garment.

A new survey has found that men in the UK are finding it increasingly difficult to buy shirts with pockets.

Tailors insist that it ruins the shirt, and therefore high street stores in the country are selling fewer of them.

However, the missing breast pocket has kicked off a storm, especially among men like John Wales, 70, who now have nowhere to put their stuff.

“When you get to a certain age, you want comfort rather than fashion. Where are men supposed to put things?” the Telegraph quoted the retired doctor from Appleton Roebuck, as saying.

Adam Barton, of Marks & Spencer, said that this year, only 25 percent of the shirts sold at their chain had pockets as compared to the 90 per cent a decade ago. (ANI)
