New York, November 12: Jaden Smith, son of actor-rapper Will Smith and actress-singer Jada Pinkett Smith, will star in a ‘Karate Kid’ remake.

The 10-year-old, who made his film debut in the Oscar-nominated “The Pursuit of Happyness” as the son of his father''s character, will lead the role that shot the then-young star Ralph Macchio to glory with the 1984 hit.

According to an article in Variety magazine, Steven Spielberg and Will Smith seem rather interested in making an American remake of a 2003 film ‘Oldboy’ directed by Korean director Park Chanwook.

Washington, Nov 7: Superstar Will Smith is reportedly in talks to star in Steven Spielberg’s next venture, which is remake of Chan Wook-park''s "Oldboy”.

Spielberg is in early talks with Smith to collaborate on the remake set around a kidnapped man, reports Variety.

In the 2003 Korean original, a man gets kidnapped and held in a shabby cell for 15 years without explanation.

Suddenly, he''s released and given money, a cell phone and clothes and is set on a path to discover who destroyed his life so he can take revenge.

According to contactmusic.com reports, the celebrated American actor, Will Smith, has been taking advice from “Slumdog Millionaire” director Danny Boyle, in an effort to fulfill his promise to star in a Bollywood movie.

Smith is serious about trying his luck in a different genre of pictures, as he made several trips to visit Boyle on set in India. Boyle said: “While we were filming there, Will Smith came over twice. There’s a massive coming together of Bollywood and Hollywood. It’ll only take one person to bring them together and it will be huge.”

Washington, Nov 3 : Hollywood actor Will Smith is keen on trying his luck in a Bollywood flick and has been taking advice from ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ director Danny Boyle.

Boyle’s latest project has been shot in Indian city Mumbai and the director is convinced that Smith is determined about trying different genre of pictures - because the ‘Independence Day’ star made several trips to visit him onset.
