Anchorage (Alaska, US), Sept. 30 : The small town common folk tag that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has been touting across the American political landscape while introducing her family, is not true.

A check of the financial records shows the Palins live anything but a common life when compared with their fellow residents of their hometown of Wasilla.

Their combined income of nearly a quarter-million dollars last year was five times the median household income for Wasilla''s 7,000 residents.

Washington, Sep 29 : Demonstrators have gathered to demand that Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin to keep her earlier pledge to cooperate with the corruption probe know as “Troopergate”. 

But an investigation that once seemed of interest only to Alaskans has taken on much greater significance with her presence on the Republican presidential ticket, the CBS News reports. 

At the Alaska Legislative Building in downtown Anchorage on Friday, the hearing room was ready for seven state employees subpoenaed to testify. But no one showed up. 

The inquiry into Palin''s firing of the head of the state police began with her promising full cooperation.

New York, September 29: U. S. Republican presidential candidate John McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin have been depicted as animals in an artwork.

Created by Tim Rollings in just a couple of weeks, the piece features Palin's face on the body of a moose and that of McCain on the body of a puppy.

"She even looks halfway decent as a moose," the New York Daily News quoted one art lover as commenting.

The artwork is on display at the Pratt Manhattan Gallery through December.

Washington, September 27 (ANI): The footage of the 1984 Miss Alaska Pageant, wherein Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin appears strutting on stage in a swimsuit, has hit the web.

"Sarah says she wants to prepare for a career in television broadcasting by majoring in telecommunications and political science," Us Magazine quoted the compare as saying in the video.

New York, Sept. 27 : Republican vice-presidential candidate and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin startling answer to a question on how she saw Alaska''s proximity to Russia as an example of her foreign policy experience, invoked the image of "a polar bear, jumping from rhetorical ice floe to ice floe, drifting some but eventually managing to get safely to dry land."

Only on this answer, Palin may have missed dry land, claims the Washington Post.
