Washington, Feb 20 : In a new twist to film director Roman Polanski's case, a documentary made last year said that he was the victim of judicial misconduct in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Marina Zenovich's highly praised HBO documentary, Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired, released in June 2008, and suggested that the court played an unusually aggressive role in defending itself and in attacking the director at every turn, reports Fox News.

Washington, February 3 : The prosecutor attached with Director Roman Polanski''s long-running rape case has rebuffed the filmmaker's appeal to have the entire Los Angeles Superior Court bench disqualified on the grounds of bias as "frivolous".

His lawyer Chad Hummel approached the California Second District Court of Appeal last week in an attempt to have the entire 600-strong Superior Court bench banned from hearing his client''s case, and have a neutral judge appointed from outside the country.

Washington, Jan 8 : Polish/French director Roman Polanski has filed a motion in the Los Angeles Superior Court to have a 32-year-old rape case against him entirely removed.

The reason for the motion, filed on January 5, had been cited as judicial bias and misconduct of the case, Fox News reports.

On January 6, a motion to dismiss the 75-year-old director's plea was filed, and along with it was given the graphic details of his sexual encounter with the young teen.

The incident took place at the home of Jack Nicholson, who was not present at the time and did not have any knowledge of Polanski's activities.

Los Angeles  - Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski filed a formal request Tuesday to the Los Angeles County Superior Court to dismiss the 30-year-old child molestation charges against him.

Polanski was convicted of several sex crimes involving a 13-year- old girl in 1977 but fled the United States before sentencing.

His lawyers said that a recent documentary on the case had revealed that a pattern of misconduct between the court and prosecutors "had so distorted the legal process that the interests of justice can only be served with the complete dismissal of the case."
