Islamabad, Jan 27 : The Leader of the House in the Senate, Raza Rabbani, has said that Pakistan has certain limitations and compulsions that were preventing it from hitting down US drones.

Replying to Senator Khurshid Ahmad in the Senate, Rabbani further said that that a strong protest has been lodged with US Ambassador Anne W Patterson on border violations of Pakistan, following the installation of the new government in the US.

Islamabad, Sep 9 : The government will not put up with ‘any hot pursuit’ inside Pakistani territory, Leader of the House Raza Rabbani told the Senate.

Responding to concerns voiced by Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Professor Khursheed Ahmed, Rabbani said there was no ambiguity in the government’s policy on the war on terror, and it would not tolerate attacks against the country’s territorial integrity.

“We have a clear policy that no one will be allowed to violate our territorial, political and economic sovereignty,” he added.

Peshawar, July 26 : Ruling coalition partners in Pakistan have agreed not to give any indemnity to the ‘November 3’ actions of President Pervez Musharraf, said Raza Rabbani, Leader of the House in the Senate.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Rabbani said, “Musharraf has no right to address joint session of the Parliament as he has no role in the country’s politics and affairs of the government.”

“Musharraf should have resigned after February 18 polls as the people had rejected his government’s policies,” he added.
