Melbourne, January 11 : Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett may turn her rusty shack to help train budding actors.

The ‘Elizabeth’ star was said to have kept the ownership of the old woolshed in central western New South Wales a hush-hush matter until now, News. com. au reported.

According to The Sunday Telegraph, Blanchett has been silently letting students from three Sydney universities to camp at the old station known as Riverslea.

Washington, Dec 30 : Cate Blanchett has come out against plastic surgery, insisting that her marriage of 11 years could be over if she goes under the knife.

The `Electra' actress stated that if she ever went under the knife, it would take a great deal of convincing her husband Andrew Upton.

"It was quite painful to read because their (fans) farm in Australia had been repossessed and the woman from the bank, who had repossessed the farm, was called Caitlin Blankett,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

Melbourne, Dec 5 : Hollywood actress Cate Blanchett has revealed that she had to convince Brad Pitt to star in their upcoming film ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’.

The movie is said to be loosely based on a story by F Scott Fitzgerald, which revolves around a baby called Benjamin who is born as an old man.

While Pitt plays the lead role, Blanchett costars as his ageing girlfriend, Daisy.

In an interview to British Vogue, the Australian actress said that Pitt was initially unsure whether to do the film.

"I don''t blame him," The Age quoted her as saying.

"I think he was just thinking, six hours, every day, in make-up.

"It''s quite wearisome.

Washington, Dec 2 : Hollywood actress Cate Blanchett is set to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Australian actress will be the 2,376th celebrity to be given the honour, reports Contactmusic.

Hollywood director Steven Spielberg and David Fincher – the director of Blanchett''s upcoming film ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ – will accompany Cate for the unveiling of her star in front of the Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard on December 5th.
