Washington, Mar 25 : Veteran actor Sir Anthony Hopkins has been signed on to play revered author and adventurer Ernest Hemingway in the new film titled Hemingway & Fuentes.

According to Hollywood Reporter, actor Andy Garcia will not only direct the project, but will also play the role of fishing-boat captain Gregorio Fuentes, who befriended the writer in the last decade of his life, reports Contactmusic.

London, Mar 19 : Studio bosses at Warner Brothers are said to considering signing Welsh actor Sir Anthony Hopkins for a role in the remake of the movie `Arthur'.

Hopkins, 71, may be paired with Brit actor Russell Brand, who has been considered to reprise Dudley Moore's role as an alcoholic ladies' man in the classic eighties movie.

Washington, Feb 24 : Sir Anthony Hopkins has confessed his love for `American Idol', insisting that he wants to turn the reality show into a movie and star as the show''s sharp-tongued British judge Simon Cowell.

The `Hannibal' star has admitted that he and his family are huge fans of the singing contest, and he would like the opportunity to play Cowell on the big screen.

"We watch American Idol. We are American Idol addicts," Contactmusic quoted him, as telling MTV. com.

"Simon (is my favourite) because he''s so brutally honest. There''s no political correctness with him. He says it as it is," he added.

Cowell''s fellow judge, producer Randy Jackson, has already given the idea the thumbs up.
