Private equity (PE) player Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR) is keen to buy stake in Tech Mahindra. The stakes are currently with the UK telecom major British Telecom’s (BT). Many other companies such as Apax Partners, Texas Pacific Group, Temasek and Carlyle are also interested to acquire the stakes.

UK telecom major British Telecom`s (BT) holds 31 per cent stakes at present. Tech Mahindra is a joint venture between BT and Mahindra & Mahindra. Mahindra & Mahindra holds 44.25% stakes in the joint venture.

The shares of Tech Mahindra wre traded at the loss of 2.51% on the Bombay stoke exchange.
