Oracle will buy a health-software firm for $685 Million
The global leader of data base administration and contributor, Oracle Corporation has announced that it is to buy Phase Forward Inc. The firm wants to strengthen its position as a foremost the software maker and developers in the international arena. Purchase announcement of Phase Forward is an indicator of Oracle's desperation to enter in to the health-technology market.
This market has developed quite remarkably. Chief Executive Larry Ellison has also expressed his contentment as the deal is through and hopeful to utilize his growth-through-acquisition strategy in this context. The firm is expected to pay approximately $685 million or $17 per share.
The deal will undoubtedly allow Oracle, to develop software and data base solutions for pharmaceutical and health-care companies. As per the recent reports published by Forrester Research, this year the pharmaceutical companies are expected to expend $26 billion on computer hardware, software and services.
Apart from that the federal stimulus package is also anticipated to invest more to enhance the technical and software related aspects of the state.
