Oprah Winfrey adds Microsoft ‘Surface’ tablet to her 'Favorite Things' list
In what can be seen as an encouraging endorsement for Microsoft's own-branded first Windows tablet - `Surface' -, well-known former talk show hostess Oprah Winfrey has added the device to her `Favorite Things of the year' list announced this week.
According to a Mashable report, Oprah not only drew a flattering parallel between Microsoft's Surface tablet to a Toyota Prius, describing it as an ideal hybrid of tablet and PC, but also said: "The Surface, Microsoft's first tablet, feels like a Mercedes-Benz to me, people!"
Further adding that Surface tablet was quite a "wowser," Oprah raved about the different notable features of the tablet, in a recent post on her website. Going by Oprah's review of the Surface, the full-size keyboard built into the tablet's cover "makes work easy;" while the notably smart kickstand makes viewing a movie or Skyping a friend a truly delightful experience.
Oprah also said that the Surface tablet was a "great alternative to a laptop", thanks largely to the fact that its weight is less than one-and-a-half pounds. In addition, she also said that the several compelling features of the tablet made it "fun for work and play."
The inclusion of the Surface tablet on Oprah's prestigious `Favorite Things' list is a notable achievement for the Microsoft device, especially since Oprah creates a list of her favorite products every year and shares them with her fans!
