Vienna - The price for crude oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) slipped by 0.66 dollars Wednesday, falling for the third day in a row.

One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC crude stood at 45.89 dollars Wednesday, down from 46.55 dollars on the previous day, the Vienna- based cartel said Thursday.

OPEC calculates an average basket price based on 13 brands produced by its members. (dpa)
