OPEC crude price inches downward

ViennaOrganization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries - The price of crude oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) fell slightly for the second day in a row on Tuesday, according to a statement by OPEC on Wednesday.

One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC-produced crude was traded at 127.43 dollars Tuesday, down 0.29 dollars compared with 127.72 dollars on the previous day.

OPEC calculates an average basket price based on 13 important brands produced by cartel members. (dpa)
