The stock exchange has also revised the eligibility criteria for stocks to be included in F&O segment. Stocks would be chosen among the list of top 500 stocks in terms of average daily market capitalization and average daily traded value during last six months of trading. The median quarter sigma order of stock is required to be more than Rs 5 lakh.
Similarly, any firm would continue to be under F&O stock if it holds share worth Rs 60 crore. Its stock's median quarter-sigma order size over the last six months should be more than Rs 2 lakh. Any firm once excluded from the list of F&O would be considered for re-inclusion after a gap of one year.
