Musharraf to deliver lecture in Oxford University next month

Former Pakistan president Pervez MusharrafKarachi, Nov 13: Former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf has said that he has accepted an offer to deliver lecture at the Oxford University. He would be visiting the university in December or January.

He also said that he was offered lectureships from various universities of Europe and America.

“I have not really taken a decision, except for Oxford University, where I will be lecturing in the last week of December or the first week of January 2009,” the Daily Times quoted him as saying.

He also said that had no intentions of returning to the political arena any time soon, as he was enjoying his time off. He said this while talking to a delegation of the PML-Q, which also included Senator Nisar A Memon.

A couple of weeks ago, Musharraf had expressed intentions of joining active politics by holding the reins of the erstwhile ruling party the PML-N. But, after getting a lackluster response from the party, he changed his idea and said that he won’t join active politics. (ANI)
