Hamilton looking for at least two more more world titles

Lewis HamiltonLondon - Newly-crowned world champion Lewis Hamilton is looking to win at least two more Formula One drivers' titles but the McLaren-Mercedes driver feels Michael Schumacher's tally of seven remains out of his reach.

"I don't plan on winning seven world championships - that's a little bit much for me, I think. Michael can keep that record," Hamilton said in an interview with the BBC.

"It would be great to win two. And I want to win that car, so it would be great to win three," said Hamilton in reference to the 5- million-pound (8.06 million dollars) car promised to him by McLaren team principal Ron Dennis if he achieves the feat.

Hamilton claimed the F1 title in Sunday's Brazilian GP when he overtook Toyota's Timo Glock on the final lap to secure the fifth- place finish necessary to pip Ferrari's Felipe Massa to the title by a single point.

"I was close to him with a couple of corners left and it would have been very hard to get past him, but fortunately it began raining and some other people took some risks and we ended up passing them," said Hamilton.

"It's the coolest thing to be able to say you're the world champion.

The Briton's achievement at the age of 23 years and 300 days and in only his second season in F1 makes him the youngest champion in the history of the sport.

However, Hamilton won't be resting on his laurels.

"I am going to be here for a while. I'm in only my second year in my Formula One career and I do have a good few years left in me, so I do have the opportunity to win that many," he said.

"But I'm going to go back and analyse what went on this year and where we can improve for next year." (dpa)
