The markets today are flooded with duplicate branded items and one is always scared of getting cheated. In a successful raid on a few shops in the AISaba Market at Musafir Khana 448 fake branded watches were recovered by the EIPR (Enforcers of Intellectual Property Rights) and MRA Marg Police. 

The goods worth 10 crore were all copies of Mont Blanc, Cartier, Chanel, IWC, PIaget, Rolex and Bulgari.The shop owners have been recognized as Rakesh Jain (27), Fayyaz Tahir (32), Mohammad Nasir Shaikh (19) and Mohammad Mehmuddin Shaikh (32) and have been booked by the police under cheating and the Copyright Act. 

The duplicate watches will be kept as evidence and then later destroyed in accordance to the law. 

To quote DCP (Zone 1) Vishwas Nangre-Patil "Sale of such items bearing fake world famous brands violates the copy right laws.......The four arrested are merely the foot-soldiers of such operations. We are conducting further inquires to trace the identities and where abouts of the persons who actually run such rackets in the city”.
