Cairo - A bus collided with a truck in central Egypt on Sunday, killing at least 13 Egyptians and injuring 21, the news channel al-Jazeera reported.

The accident occurred near Beni Suef, 120 kilometres south of Cairo.

Around 6,000 people die each year on Egypt's roads, according to the Transport Ministry. (dpa)
