Study Says That Aussie Men Are Most Happy While Having Sex & Surfing
The Australian Happiness Index 2008 has put forward the fact that Australian men put Sex and Internet surfing on the first five positions in their happiness index. On the other hand, women keep happy while they hangout with their friends and cuddle their pets.
While rest, relaxation and entertainment marked topmost positions on the happiness index of both men and women; spending quality time with your partner also made it to the top four for both men and women.
While surfing internet came on the third position of the happiness index for men; having sex topped among five activities that made men happy. While for women, having sex and surfing came on the first ten positions; but however, playing with pets, having meals with family and spending time with children came on much higher positions than the former two.
Furthermore, eating pleasant meals, also scored among the first ten for both sexes, however, some men preferred having them with their friends rather than partners accompanied with wines and drinks and also chocolates.
The data shows that 30% of women were extremely happy while shopping, as compared to only 14% of men who felt happy while shopping.
Reading a book, which made less than one in three men happy, made one in two women quite happy. Furthermore, 36% of kind-natured women said that they loved buying gifts, as compared to only 19% men saying the same.
Marketing consultants The Leading Edge, who surveyed more than 8500 Australians aged between 18 and 64, compiled this index.
Karen Phillips, the Leading Edge managing director, reported, “Australians are made happy on a week-to-week basis, not by possessions and achievements, but by entertaining experiences and by meaningful interactions with others.”
This index has also been designed with the aim to create a marketing tool to give a clear picture to businesses to target customers.
