Honda to show new hybrid car at Paris motor show
Offenbach, Germany - Honda issued more details in Germany on Tuesday of its hybrid car, the Insight Concept, which it plans to unveil at the October 4-19 Paris motor show.
The Japanese company said in Offenbach near Frankfurt that the Insight Concept was aimed at families and would be the first of three new hybrid models to be launched over the next four years.
Fuel-saving hybrid drives are a combination of a small internal- combustion engine and an electric motor.
Europeans will also gain a look during the Paris show at Honda's FCX Clarity, a fuel-cell-powered car that Honda began delivering to selected customers in the United States at the start of August.
Honda aims to make 200 of the model over a three-year period and lease them out in the United States and Japan for just 600 dollars monthly including servicing and insurance. (dpa)
