Tata Capital inks MoU with Mitsubishi UFJ Securities
Tata Capital Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mitsubishi UFJ Securities (MUS) to cooperate in wide range of strategic business areas including cross-border investment banking, global offering of Indian equities and development of the local bond market. The area of cooperation would include investment banking, seeking foreign retail and institutional clients to invest in Indian equities and secondary market. The company stated in a release that in investment banking, the transactions would encompass activities such as mergers and acquisition advisory, structured finance solutions, including financing through Japanese and other equity and debt capital markets for clients seeking to tap international markets. Mitsubishi UFJ Securities provides wide range of services including securities trading and underwriting, various types of derivative transactions etc. Apart from these, both companies would also explore other technology related initiatives such as mobile and online trading platform. However, no financial details were disclosed. Recently, Tata Capital has also signed an alliance with Mizuho Corporate Bank for a range of financial services.
