Madrid  - Spanish police have raided what they referred to as the most active units of the Basque underground terrorist organization ETA, according to authorities in Bilbao Tuesday.

Raids were carried out overnight in several cities in the Basque region, and at least seven suspected terrorists were arrested, they said.

One of ETA's most wanted members, unit head Arkaitz Goikoetxea, was among those arrested. (dpa)
