President to undertake five-day visit of Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh

New Delhi, June 25 : President Pratibha Patil will begin her five-day visit to Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh tomorrow.

This would be her first visit to Madhya Pradesh since assuming office on July 25, 2007.

She is scheduled to visit Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal and Gwalior.

While in Mumbai, she would inaugurate the "International Conference on Responsibility to the Future: Business, Peace, Sustainability", on June 26.

She would also dedicate the Choithran Netralaya to the nation as well as inaugurate the Media Bhavan of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in Indore on June 27.

The President would also make a brief visit to Ujjain on June 28 after which she will address the Madhya Bharat Hindi Sahitya Sammelan and inaugurate the Paraspar Sahkari Bank in Indore.

During her visit to Bhopal on June 29, she would inaugurate the Administrative and Academic Block of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University and the Centre for Advanced Research and Development, People's Group.

She would attend the inaugural function of the Usha Kiran Scheme for Protection of Victims of Domestic Violence, which has been launched by the Women and Child Development Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

On the final day of her tour on June 30, she would visit Gwalior and attend the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Madhav Institute of Technology and Sciences before returning to New Delhi the same day. (ANI)
