Electric bike maker Fucare’s new Gemini X e-bike promises a unique blend of style, comfort and performance at an affordable starting price of $1,899.

The novel looking trellis-style frame of the Gemini X not only gives the e-bike a look of its own but also allows a load of 400 lb (181 kg). This e-bike is really unique in terms of its frame design as well as in terms of capability of carrying heavy loads.

The frame is made of narrow diameter tubes that wrap around the forward-mounted 48V battery. It still leaves an open area on top for allowing battery removal. There are two batteries, and the second one is positioned just behind the seat tube. The two batteries combined have 998 Wh of capacity, which is enough to deliver a range of 55 miles (88 km) on throttle-only riding. Under pedal assist, the e-bike delivers even greater range of 80 miles (130 km) on a single charge.

The 750 W hub motor positioned in the rear wheel is strong enough to deliver a speed of up to 20 miles per hour (32 km/h) of assist on throttle-only riding. An even faster speed of 28 mph (45 km/h) is possible when the rider makes use of the highest pedal assist level. The figures keep the new e-bike in Class 3 designation to legally operate on the US streets.

For suspension, there is a spring fork featuring pre-load adjustment as well as lockout. The e-bike also comes equipped with a massive 5.3-inch color screen to provide information like speed, distance covered by the bike, level of battery charge, mode of pedal assist etc. The screen also offers a USB charge port that can be used to charge a phone or some other device during the ride.
A range of gear ratios comes through a 7-speed Shimano transmission. It is particularly beneficial for those who prefer pedals to foot rests.

To bring the e-bike to halt, the manufacturer has equipped both wheels with hydraulic disc brakes. The wheels get wrapped in 4-inch wide tires. The fat tires are just 20-inch in diameter, which is perfect for comfort and cornering while ensuring enhanced nimbleness.

The list of other noticeable features and specs of the e-bike includes ABS fenders, LED lights, and a rear rack. More accessories, such as a rear basket, can be added for additional utility. However, even the base model seems to be adequately equipped.
