Strong quake shakes south-western China
Beijing - A magnitude-7.6 earthquake struck China's south-western province of Sichuan Monday, the national earthquake agency said. It was felt as far away as Beijing.
The US Geological Survey measured the quake at 7.5 and said it struck at 2:28 pm (0628 GMT), 95 kilometres west-north-west of the provincial capital, Chengdu, at a depth of 10 kilometres. (dpa)
