Shania Twain Reveals more about her Farewell Tour
Shania Twain, Canadian singer and song writer, announced on Wednesday that she will be starting her Rock This Country Tour on June 5 in Seattle.
Twain, who is also referred to as ‘The Queen of Country Pop’, said she will be performing 48 shows throughout the tour. The tour will end on August 23 in Fresno, California. The tour follows a two years residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
As per sources, it is Twain’s first show in North America over a decade. Twain will be performing in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. She will also be visiting Canada for shows in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.
Twain’s most popular tracks include ‘You're Still the One’ and ‘That Don't Impress Me Much’. She is also the world’s best-selling artist of all time.
The tour concluding on August 23 will also include an August 22 show at San Diego's Valley View Casino Center. Gavin DeGraw will open all of the dates on her tour between June 30 and August 23.
Twain announcing about her tour said, “This is my last tour, so I'm going to make the most of it. I want to go out with a bang... This is a very, very important time on the road for me.. I just feel like I'm ready to hang my hat up in that regard”.
Twain has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide since 1993. She is the only woman artist to have made three consecutive albums that each sold more than 10 million copies alone in the US. The artist also has 17 top singles to her credit.
Twain said in a statement released Wednesday that it will be a celebration tour for her. Tickets for most of the Rock This Country tour go on sale March 13 at 10 a.m. at axs.com.
