Preity Zinta arrives at Wankhede Stadium, begins deposition
Mumbai, June 24 : Actress Preity Zinta on Tuesday arrived at the Wankhede stadium and her statement is being recorded in presence of Mumbai Police.
Zinta had filed a police complaint on June 12, accusing her former boyfriend and industrialist Ness Wadia of manhandling, abusing and threatening her while they were watching the Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab match on May 30 at the Wankhede Stadium.
Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria had said last week that Zinta had agreed to return from a foreign trip to record her testimony for the police.
He had also said that a team of investigators is scrutinising footage from security cameras at the stadium to see if the alleged fight was recorded.
Zinta has said that Mr Wadia pushed her and abused her.
Wadia has termed allegations "totally false and baseless" and has also alleged in a police complaint that his company received threatening calls and texts from an underworld gangster referencing the Bollywood star. The police has since given security to Wadia. (ANI)
