Google likely to announce Android 4.2 ‘Key Lime Pie’ at October 29 press event

Google likely to announce Android 4.2 ‘Key Lime Pie’ at October 29 press event With Internet search giant Google having recently sent out invites for its October 29 press event, reports and rumors made rounds last week speculating that one of the major announcements which the company is likely to make at the event will pertain to the introduction of its latest Android OS version --- Android 4.2 `Key Lime Pie.'

With news firms, mainstream media, and bloggers having been invited to cover the forthcoming event, which is scheduled to be held in New York, some unconfirmed reports have hinted that Google will probably announce the official features of Android `Key Lime Pie' at the event.

According to analyst, the Android `Key Lime Pie' version will essentially use the same core architecture as the Android `Ice Cream Sandwich' version; and will merely be an incremental upgrade like its predecessor - the `Jelly Bean' version.

That Android `Key lime Pie' will seemingly not be any substantial upgrade coming the way of Android users was also highlighted by Android Police a few days back, when it claimed that it had got hold of the beta version of the latest version via LG Nexus system dump, which also confirmed multiple user accounts.

Nonetheless, an iDigitalTimes report has revealed that most of the Google-branded apps will get the `Key Lime Pie' update which, like `Jelly Bean' will bring about a number of noteworthy improvements in overall performance.
