Amazon to launch Junglee.com in Indian marketUS retail giant, Amazon. com is entering the Indian market with the launch of its Junglee. com for customers in the country where the online market is growing at a rapid pace.

Junglee will allow customers to find products that are offered by online as well as offline retailers in the country as well as from Amazon. com. The Junglee. com service is currently in its bet stage.

The service will offer 1.2 crore products and 14,000 brands through several hundreds of retailers including Homeshop18, UniverCell, Hidesign, Gitanjali, The BombayStore, Fabindia, Bata India Limited, Dabur Uveda, Microsoft India Store, Reebok, and Amazon. com.

Junglee does not allow customers buy the product directly but simply directs customers to sellers' websites and displays their customer service phone numbers and location of stores on maps so that customers can buy the product directly from the sellers.

US-based Amazon. com ahs different websites for various countries including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, and China. The company has developed a customer base of around 30 million people and generates revenues of about $ 48 billion.

The company said that Junglee is an online shopping service "which enables customers to find and discover products from online and offline retailers in India and from Amazon. com."
