Google On Hiring Spree In China
Google has started up a hiring spree in China in spite of its recent censorship-linked troubles with the administration that witnessed many top engineers and administrators leaving the company.
Internet search giant lost ground in the Chinese search engine market to Baidu and other market players, however, it plans to employ more people to strengthen its subsisting group.
Google said that openings would be in its research and growth, product management, user experience designer, sales, operation, recruiter and marketing segments.
Google added 2,000 more staff during the first half of 2010 across the world and presently has staff strength of approximately 22,000.
The recruitment plan comes after the administration renewed Google's Internet Content Provider license earlier this month.
Analysts stated that the move is the initial step by Google to recover market confidence in China. (With Inputs from Agencies)
