Strong comeback by equity markets gives grains futures a higher close
As equity markets staged a strong comeback on Wall Street, Grain futures closed higher on the Chicago Board of Trade on Thursday.
Corn was up 1 3/4 to up 3, soybeans were up 8 3/4 to up 13 3/4, wheat was up 4 1/2 to up 6 1/4 and oats were up 2 to up 4.
The dollar index down 0.97 percent and stocks higher made Corn prices rise on Thursday.
Wheat prices rose with extreme heat expected in the South and in some Plains states.
Although China said it may be oversupplied with soybeans through June, soybean prices found support from higher crude oil prices. (With Inputs from Agencies)
