Boris Johnson pledges an all-out Wi-Fi throughout London for Olympics

Boris-JohnsonAt a Google organised event, the mayor of London, Boris Johnson pledged that the city would have a throughout Wi-Fi coverage before 2012 Olympics.

He basically wants to take the access to every lamppost and each bus stop and convert it into a wireless broadband hotspot. This measure aims at offering connectivity all the time without wasting time.

This seemingly ambitious plan has many benefits for the natives of the UK who wouldn't have to worry about the quality of their 3G network.

This is followed by bigger news that states that twenty-two London boroughs have already agreed for this scheme, and more will soon follow the trail, claims BBC.

Meanwhile rumors state that this offering of Wi-Fi might be offered at a minimal charge for the users, if so will be the condition it will unlikely seem much less of a boon.
