Buy out of Renault’s stake is not going to affect M&M
As per the market experts there won't be any immediate affect to the market due to the recent buy out in the joint venture of Mahindra Renault. The leading auto maker of India, Mahindra & Mahindra has purchased Renault's 49% of stake in the joint venture Mahindra Renault. The Indian firm has managed to capture the famous brands of the French company Renault under its belt.
As Mahindra & Mahindra is known to be the country's largest manufacturer of tractors and sports utility vehicles, it was apprehended that such buy out will hamper the balance of the market as well as for the company.
But according to the analysts it is not going to affect the finances of M&M. Rather now it has been expected that it will entry to the fast-growing passenger car market soon.
Detail report on the JV suggests that the MRPL was a loss making entity and the Logan which was the product under this entity, has failed in the market due to its decline sales and revenue. MRPL have contributed a very less amount to M&M revenues. Hence this buy out is not going to have any impact.
