Air India and Jet Airways have decided to take the alternative routes to operate their US and Canada flights. But the European flights are still to open. Jet Airways has started using the route with two flights to Toronto and New York from Delhi and Mumbai.

The volcanic ash clouds have created a question over these fights. Now it has been reported that the ash clouds have shifted down to the southern part and have covered the Mediterranean regions as well.

Jet Airways has its hubs in London and Brussels. The airline has a tie up with Greece as well. Now, the airline has decided to make Athens of Greece as the transit point and has diverted its flights New York in the US and Toronto in Canada.

According to a Jet Airways spokesperson, the daily flight services from both Mumbai and Delhi are expected to commence from this Monday. At the same time, Air India has also resumed its non-stop flights to New York. The flights will not follow the Frankfurt and London route now as per the official.
