Premier Foods posts interim figures & brings back Oxo family
The beef stock's maker, Premier Foods, which is known for its Oxo cubes plus Hovis bread will post interim statistics on Wednesday.
The company expects the profits at the meat free division to be poorer for the first half.
Graham Jones, an analyst has projected profits for the meat free products division to be lower by 4-5 million pounds in the first half of the year.
Though, the division witnessed an increase of 3 percent in wider sales during the first four months of 2009, but that could be the result of inflation.
According to the UBS analysts would see its underlying earning to rise by 3 percent to reach to £121 million in the first half of 2009.
On the other hand, Premier Foods is planning to campaign "The Oxo Factor", in which it would invite families and ask them to make their own ads over the use of Oxo to flavor food.
Best five ads would be aired on TV. The winner of the five will be aired the broadcasting of The X Factor, which is a reality talent show.
The traditional Oxo cube is going to be replaced by X-shaped block of stock. It is important to note here that these cubes have been the backbone of the gravy helps flavoring roasts.
