Dortmund  - Borussia Dortmund will pay their final respects to a fan who died last week during a cup game against Werder Bremen, the club said on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old fan died when he fell from the south terraces of the Signal Iduna Park. Although he was immediately airlifted to hospital, doctors could not save him.

Dortmund said on their website that the unnamed fan, who is to be buried on Thursday in his home town of Datteln, will be remembered in a 'fitting way'. They did not elaborate what this would be. dpa
