Nissan moves to boost German car market share

Nissan moves to boost German car market share Berlin - Japan's Nissan Motor Co plans to double its share of the German car market by 2012, the German business daily Handelsblatt reported Monday.

The French-Japanese auto maker hopes to raise its market share from 1.5 per cent to 3.0 per cent by boosting its dealerships by 120 and introducing two new models into Europe, including a compact vehicle and a budget car to be built in India.

Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn is not satisfied with the automotive group's development in the fiercely competitive German car market, Handlesblatt reported. (dpa)
