NID faculty member faces investigations for stress on sex in sessions

National Institute of DesignA faculty member of the National Institute of Design (NID) is to face an investigation after it was alleged by a former student in an email that there was undue discussions and stress on sex in the sessions.

The former student wrote and email to the NID director Pradyuman Vyas with graphic details of sexual overtures during the classes of the faculty member. The same faculty of strategic design management also takes lessons for the students of the IIM-A.

The institute has already formed a committee to get more information. The committee has recorded statements of students to get leads into the matter. The Institute is also planning to call the student who wrote the email so that it can file a formal complaint against the faculty member.

The faculty member reportedly also asked students to sign on a Non-Disclosure Agreement that stated that students cannot disclose the content of the class no matter what happens to him or her.

The former students said in the email that during the course a strong emphasis was on sex, sexual activities and genitals with regular discussions on casual sex and rape. The faculty member said that it is for his PHD research.
