A New Twist In Mel Gibson And Oksana Grigorieva's Courtroom Drama!
Bitter separations grabbing eyeballs are not new in Hollywood. The legal tussle between erstwhile lovers, producer Mel Gibson and Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva, seems to be a never-ending affair. As if child custody and domestic violence issues were not enough, now more trouble is brewing. It has been reported that the latest dispute between Mel and Oksana was related to money matters.
Mel Gibson claimed that he had earned approximately $ 7.2 million during August 2009 and August 2010. Oksana, according to reports has challenged that claim and has claimed herself that Gibson had told her that he had made $40 million in the year 2009. According to reports, Mel is free of debts and owns real estate property and personal property worth over a whopping 50 million dollars.
Oksana was vying for a settlement of $50,000 to $60,000. Gibson had been ordered by the court in August 2010 to increase the child support from $5000 to $20,000 but he was unwilling to pay the $20,000 unless housing rent was deducted from it.
At the end, according to reports, it was ruled by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon, that Mel Gibson would have to pay $20,000 per month as child support and also provide housing. The court also dismissed Gibson's appeal that Oksana be prevented from disclosing particulars of the case to the media. On the other hand, Gibson won the right to overnight visits with Lucia, their one year old daughter. The judgment has been hailed as a major victory for Oksana.
