Neil Armstrong “moon-walk” named Most Memorable TV Moment
London, Jan 28 : US astronaut Neil Armstrong walking on the moon in 1969 is the most memorable television moment, according to a new survey.
In the study of 3,000 people, more than half of the respondents chose Armstrong's "moon-walk" as their most memorable television world first.
Among the other events which left a mark on viewers was the election of Barack Obama as the first African-American president, nominated by 37.5 per cent of people questioned, reports the Telegraph.
Third moment was nominated by 27 percent - the assassination of President John F Kennedy in 1963.
The survey was commissioned by Sony Bravia to mark the UK launch of the world''s thinnest LCD TV.
Christian Brown from Sony UK Ltd said: "The nation favours ''World First'' television moments that have either a visual impact or create a poignant piece of history - moments such as the first man walking on the moon and President Obama''s recent inauguration." (ANI)
