Nano would be launched in time
Tata is still undecided about the fate of its small car project at Singur in West Bangal. The chairman of Tata group, Mr. Ratan Tata denied commenting on the issue. However, he said that TATA would launch Nano as early as possible.
Tata said, in the side lines of the 48th SIAM Annual Convention 2008 in Delhi, that the engineers and technical staff are doing its best to launch the ambitious car as per the plans of company.
Meanwhile, Mr Tata met Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh as a part of the SIAM delegation. According to the confidential sources, it was a courtesy call. He did not discussed about Nano in the meeting with PM. He said that the input cost of car is increasing day by day but company is committed to provide car at 1 lakh rupees. TATA maintained that there is a huge potential for the small cars in the Indian as well as world’s market.
