Motorola reveals details about its upcoming Clutch i465 mobile phoneThe wireless telephone handset manufacturer based in Schaumburg, Illinois – Motorola has revealed details about its upcoming mobile phone Motorola Clutch i465. Motorola has disclosed that the Motorola Clutch i465 mobile phone is the company’s first handset that unites the power of push-to-talk technology and the convenience of QWERTY keyboard with shortcut keys.

In its press release, Motorola has stated that the Motorola Clutch i465 mobile phone features familiar design and military-tough durability. The phone, 2.1 x 4.4 x 0.6 inches in size and 96g in weight, is capable of withstanding extreme conditions including shock, vibration, dust, and solar radiation. The low end device with Integrated Digital Enhanced Network or iDEN is specifically designed to satisfy the messaging needs of even the most serious texters and talkers.

According to Motorola, the Clutch i465 mobile phone comes with IM-style texting that allows for an all-in-one view of incoming and outgoing messages. The phone features a 1.79-inch TFT LCD with a 128 x 160 pixel resolution and 64k colors, VGA Camera with video capture with a 300k resolution with 4x zoom, Audio player, 20 MB user available memory, Bluetooth 1.2, 5-pole, micro USB, and 2.5mm audio jack (mono).

The Clutch i465 mobile phone allows multiple messaging including SMS, MMS, message threading, predictive text and email (POP3). The phone supports MIDI, MP3, WAV and ringtones. The band/modes supported by the phone are 800/900 MHz. The battery of the phone offers 205 minutes talk time and 100 hours standby time.

However, Motorola has not disclosed any information about price and availability of the Motorola Clutch i465 mobile phone, but the phone is expected to hit the market at the start of Q2 2009.
