Washington, Sept 17 : Teen star Miley Cyrus has slammed rumours that she is dating underwear model and aspiring country singer Justin Gaston, claiming they are just “friends.”

Rumour mills were running in full spin after the Hannah Montana star was spotted with Gaston attending church services in Pasadena, California on Sept 14 along with her family.

Later that night, 20-year-old Gaston was also seen attending Disney''s Concert where he watched Cyrus perform alongside The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato.

"They''ve been spending a lot of time together while he''s in town,” Contactmusic quoted a Nashville, Tennessee native, close to Cyrus, as saying.

However, a representative of the 15-year-old star has denied the rumours, insisting their relationship is purely platonic.

"(Gaston''s) a friend from Nashville,” the spokesperson told People.

On the other hand, Gaston''s rep, Allen Osborne, said: "He''s visiting Los Angeles for the week."

Miley met Gaston earlier this year when he was a contestant on TV talent show Nashville Star, which was hosted by the singer/actress'' father, Billy Ray Cyrus. (ANI)
