Maternal Vitamin A cures offspring’s lung ailments
The scientists have stated that deficiency of Vitamin A in the mother's body may probably affect the lung function in the child in future.
The lead researchers have stated that mothers who have received Vitamin. A supplements before, during and after pregnancy reported a significant improvement in their lung functioning when compared to those mothers who externally took beta-carotene supplementations or placebo, confirms the study from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
It is believed that Vitamin A deficiency has caused nearly 190 million preschool-age children suffer through out the world and has already claimed 650,000 lives.
Also, the studies are still in progress as the cure for vitamin A deficiency and night blindness among children.
This study was published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
