Fighting its falling market share in the Indian passenger car market, Maruti Suzuki has now decided to use the most effective weapon in its amour - The Alto to fight against the counterparts.

Notably, the company is planning to launch the K-Series Alto in the Indian market next month. While the new variant of the most-selling product in the Indian market will not only help the market leader to regain its lost market share but also will result in bringing additional units for the Alto.

It is to be mentioned here that for the first time in the past 25 years, as the month of June ended, Maruti Suzuki saw its market share falling below 50%. It has been leaned from the sources that the new Alto K10 will be powered by a larger 1000-cc engine and sport different exteriors and interiors.

While the company refused to divulge further details about the product, the industry experts are echoing the fact that the product will be priced in the `2.8-3.4 lakh range, squeezing between the Alto Lxi and Estilo LX in the Indian market.
