Maruti Suzuki launches new WagonR
Aiming to give an appropriate answer to its counterparts over the rising competition in the A2 segment, the market leader Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the new-generation WagonR in the Indian market. Notably, the company has invested over Rs. 290 crores in bringing this product from the papers on to the Indian roads.
According to Mayank Pareek, Managing Executive – Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki the product has got every thing new in it, be it the interiors, exteriors, engine, transmission, or the suspension. However, the company believes that the brand equity of the WagonR brand is still here to play in the Indian marketplace.
It is believed that the company will use R. Madhavan as the face of even the new WagonR as the same was introduced last year. In fact, with the launch of the new WagonR, the company will stop the production of the Duo version in the 13 metros where BSIV norms are applicable.
Notably, the WagonR has sold over eight million units in the Indian market since its launch in 1999 and was doing currently over 10,000 units on an average for the market leader in the domestic market.
