Markets rise again to end in green
For sixth consecutive session, the markets ended in green on Tuesday. This is the outcome of the continuous inflow of capital which has come from the foreign as well domestic funds. The good thing is that the Indian capital markets have been performing well even while the global markets are behaving in a subdued manner.
After shooting up in the early trading hours, during the mid-session some profit booking was noticed and it was seen in the mid and small cap companies. So, they could not hold on to the buzz and analysts believe that the markets will soon see corrections.
While the Sensex kept itself above the 19,000 mark, Nifty was able to stay afloat the 5,700 mark. Sensex closed at 19346.96, up 138.63 points or 0.72 per cent. For Nifty the numbers were 5795.55, up 35.55 points or 0.62 per cent.
The 30-index for Sensex hit intraday high of 19487.07 and low of 19218.13 while for Nifty it touched high of 5838.45 and low of 5760.30.
