MapmyIndia Updates Its Maps, Expands Its Navigator Reach To 174 cities
MapmyIndia has made announcement about the addition of detailed maps to its GPS (Global Positioning System) navigation device, MapmyIndia Navigator.
The new edition called MapmyIndia Navigator 2.0 offers up coverage of street-level maps for 174 Indian cities. With this new addition, GPS navigation has moved beyond metropolitans and entered Tier II and III cities.
Moreover, it will cover up more than 4,50,000 points of interest including ATMs, restaurants, hotels, etc.
MapMyIndia claims that people can search for places easily and get information about that place also.
Mr. Rakesh Verma, MD, MapmyIndia, said, “With detailed maps of 174 cities now available on MapmyIndia Navigator 2.0, we are reaching out to the large Indian consumer market that lives beyond the major metros. This is a new step not only for MapmyIndia but also for the GPS navigation industry as a whole, as we introduce more Indian consumers to the concept of safe and comfortable traveling.”
The service can be subscribed to at General Motors car dealerships, accessory outlets, and consumer electronics retail chains and outlets apart from purchasing it directly from MapmyIndia portal.
Subsisting MapmyIndia Navigator subscribers can upgrade to version 2.0 free of charge. Buyers can purchase the MapmyIndia Navigator with its two hardware models including AMAX 06GP5A for Rs 17,990 and Delphi NAV 200 for Rs.20,990.
