South Goa District administration officer granted time till March 7 to Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata to reply to the show cause notice served to her in connection with the fake residence certificate used during marriage registration. Advocate Manoj Desai represented Manyata during a hearing in the court of district administration officer.

Another interesting point that has come up is a statement from Sanju Baba’s close friend. As per the reports, Manyata wanted to get married in Goa. As per the marriage laws in Goa, the domicile of Goa becomes eligible for 50% property of her husband. This could be one reason for Manyata to prefer marrying Sanjay Dutt in Goa. It has also been reported that Manyata didn’t really live in Goa for six months. She was blamed recently by a local news reporter for getting a fake residence certificate.

The couple married at Taj Exotica in Goa on February 7. The marriage was attended by very limited number of guests and Sanjay’s sister was not present during the occasion.

Another issue which has been important in this case is the objection from a person who claims that Manyata is his legal wife and he hasn’t divorced her yet. This could spell more troubles for Manyata is days to come.
