Malaysian airline to fly to Australia
Sydney - Malaysian low-cost airline AirAsia X will offer flights between Kuala Lumpur and Perth from November, news reports said Thursday.
Starting with six flights a week, AirAsia X will offer daily flights from March 2009.
AirAsia X chief executive Azran Osman Rani said the airline had 90 routes across South-East Asia and China.
"AirAsia X will feed passengers from its extensive network into Perth, effectively creating a low-cost link from South-East Asia and China to WA (Western Australia)," Rani said.
AirAsia X already operates flights from the Gold Coast to Malaysia. Next year, it is due to start flights between London and Kuala Lumpur. (dpa)
